When We Started, Shillong Needed Something Different

Back in 2017, we started with a simple mission:

To help local businesses in Shillong grow through digital marketing.

At the time, digital transformation in our region was still in its early stages. We saw a gap — and we named ourselves Marketing Wire to reflect exactly what we wanted to be:

A connector. A wire between local businesses and the digital world.

It worked. We helped dozens of small businesses build their presence online. But quietly, something else was happening — we were getting pulled into more complex, tech-driven problems. Websites led to platforms. Platforms led to systems. And soon, our clients weren’t just asking for marketing — they were asking for software, automation, and strategy.

The Shift We Couldn’t Ignore

Over the years, our work naturally evolved:

• We began building custom software platforms for entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and institutions

• We started consulting on AI-driven solutions and digital strategy

• We began handling end-to-end IT support and managed services

The kind of work we were doing had outgrown the “marketing” in our name. And to be honest — it started holding us back.
Clients loved our work, but the name didn’t match the depth of what we offered.

That’s when we knew: it was time for a change.

Why “MWire Consulting”?

We didn’t want to erase our roots — Marketing Wire helped define us.

But we needed a name that would grow with us.

So we kept the “M” as a nod to where we started. And we embraced MWire Consulting — a name that’s sharper, more strategic, and future-ready.

It reflects what we do today:

• IT strategy & managed support

• Building real, scalable tools for Northeast India and beyond

More than that, it reflects who we’re becoming.
